LWLOR Writer
PRIVACY · CONFIDENTIALITY · HUMAN JUDGMENT

A recommendation is personal. Its boundaries should be clear.

LOR Writer separates applicant-provided context from the recommender’s confidential assessment and keeps the writer responsible for every final claim.

01

Confidential by design

Applicants prepare and send supporting evidence. They do not receive access to the recommender’s private observations, AI-assisted drafts, edits, or final letter.

02

Evidence before prose

Applicant-reported facts are labeled as context. Evaluative claims must come from the recommender’s own observation, assessment, and verification.

03

Policy-aware assistance

The destination can place the Studio in drafting, editing, or organize-only mode. The official destination and institutional rules always take priority.

04

Writer-owned final letter

The recommender reviews every sentence, chooses the strength of endorsement, exports the document, and submits it through the official destination process.

Applicants

Applicants can create their profile, upload supporting materials, prepare an outreach note, send a private invitation, and view simple progress states such as sent, opened, drafting, or completed.

Applicants cannot open the recommender’s private notes, assisted draft, revisions, or completed letter through the packet-tracking view.

Recommenders

Recommenders receive the applicant packet in a separate private workspace. They decide which applicant-reported facts are relevant, add the firsthand evidence only they can supply, and control the recommendation’s wording and strength.

Unique, expiring portal links

Each handoff uses a unique private link associated with one recommendation workspace. The interface displays its expiration date. Treat the link like a confidential document: send it only to the intended recipient and do not forward it.

Shared files stay attached to that workspace

Uploaded originals and extracted text are transferred into the private packet so the writer does not have to reconstruct the request from email attachments. Revoking an invitation removes access and deletes the shared files associated with that handoff.

Accounts and private links serve different purposes

Accounts let users save and resume their own Studio work. A recommender may also enter through the secure invitation link supplied for a specific applicant workspace.

RESPONSIBLE AI

Assistance should reduce friction—not manufacture judgment.

LOR Writer is designed to help organize evidence and express an assessment the writer has already formed. It is not a substitute for knowing the applicant.

Appropriate assistance
  • Organizing applicant documents into reviewable context
  • Turning a writer’s bullets or dictation into an editable outline
  • Identifying vague praise that needs an observed example
  • Improving clarity, transitions, grammar, and formatting
Never acceptable
  • Inventing an interaction, result, credential, or comparison
  • Presenting résumé facts as firsthand observations
  • Strengthening the endorsement beyond the writer’s judgment
  • Ignoring destination, employer, school, or institutional policy
BEFORE YOU UPLOAD

Use only information you are authorized to share.

Do not upload protected patient information, confidential student records, proprietary employer information, government-restricted material, or sensitive third-party data unless you are authorized to use it in this workflow. Remove unnecessary identifiers and follow the rules of your school, employer, healthcare institution, application service, and destination.

LOR Writer provides writing and organization tools. It does not replace legal advice, institutional privacy review, or the official submission system.

HUMAN JUDGMENT STAYS IN CHARGE

Build from evidence you can stand behind.

Applicants organize the request. Recommenders verify the facts, control the language, and own the final letter.
